Liverpool star Tsimikas taken to hospital after horror collision with his own manager Klopp on touchline  

KOSTAS TSIMIKAS was taken to hospital after taking out Jurgen Klopp in the first half of Liverpool’s crunch clash with Arsenal.

Klopp was going about his business on the touchline when the Greek defender was shoved into touch by Bukayo Saka in the 32nd minute of the Anfield clash.

Tsimikas collided with Klopp’s legs, forcing the Kop chief to fall on top of him.

The left back’s right shoulder bore the brunt of the collision, so much so he was replaced by Joe Gomez.

Footie fans couldn’t help but comment on the unfortunate incident, with one saying: “Tsimikas went off injured after colliding with…Jürgen Klopp.”

Another said: “Tsimikas sustains injury after colliding with… Jürgen Klopp.”

And another said: “What a tackle by Tsimikas! Did Klopp dive?”

One remarked: “No way that happened.”

Another chimed in: “I’ve watched a lot of football but never seen a manager take out a player like Klopp did with Tsimikas.”

One viewer even jokingly claimed Klopp was to blame for Tsimikas’ injury.

Tsimikas ended up damaging his collarbone in the collision with his gaffer.

And the former Olympiacos man was taken to hospital for further assessment during the half-time interval.

Arsenal took the lead in the fourth minute of the match through a well-placed header from Gabriel Magalhaes.

The Merseysiders were denied a clear penalty in the 25th minute when Gunners skipper Martin Odegaard handled the ball as Mohammed Salah took him on.

Salah, however, wouldn’t have to wait long to get his name on the scoresheet.

The Reds’ talismanic winger levelled the score in the 29th minute with a thumping near-post finish from inside the box after skinning Oleksandr Zinchenko.
