Man Utd fans fear RELEGATION after dismal West Ham defeat as horror omen tips Erik ten Hag and Co for the drop

MANCHESTER UNITED fans are fearing relegation after a horror omen has tipped the club for the drop.

The Red Devils were uninspiring in their 2-0 defeat to West Ham at the London Stadium.

Jarrod Bowen opened the scoring after taking advantage of an error from Andre Onana before Mohammed Kudus wrapped up the win.

The result was already the 13th time that Man United have lost this season.

It is the most defeats that the club has suffered before Christmas since 1930.

That season saw the Red Devils suffer relegation from the First Division, the former name of England’s top flight.

Arsenal however won the league title by seven points, with Aston Villa in second place.

Fans are now fearing the drop with the Gunners currently on top of the league and United looking short of ideas.

One fan posted: “Same year we got relegated and Arsenal won the league.”

A second wrote: “I’m seeing Man United competing for relegation.”

A third commented: “Man United are an embarrassing side who approached the game like they’re fighting relegation.”

A fourth said: “Man United approaching this fixture like a relegation side would is a disgrace IMO.”

Another added: “Man United straight to relegation battle.”

Back in the 1930/31 season, United also suffered the worst home defeat in the league as Huddersfield thrashed them 6-0 at Old Trafford.

They were also humiliated in a 7-4 loss to Newcastle at home.

United are back in action on Boxing Day as they host high-flying Aston Villa.
