I’m furious after my boyfriend’s neighbour scratched ‘no parking’ on my car – they could have just left a note

A WOMAN was left fuming after her boyfriend’s neighbour scratched “no parking” on her car.

Mollie had left her vehicle in a “short term” space outside her partner’s apartment block in Canberra, Australia for the afternoon.

But when she returned at 7pm, she was met with a sight that left her “livid”.

Although she didn’t breach any rules, someone had clearly taken serious offence to her parking style.

Above the driver’s side door the words “no parking” had been crudely scratched into the frame of her car.

Mollie told Yahoo News Australia: “It was definitely done during daylight hours.

“I understand it’s short term parking however with the car parks, a lot of people who live in the buildings and even the businesses around are aware people will park in those visitor spaces for a day or two.”

The apartment block is home to about 130 residences and there are surrounding businesses.

Mollie says she has been parking there for about four to five months and is shocked by the “disgusting” act of vandalism.

She said: “Even if I was parked ‘too long’ or in the wrong spot, I don’t believe it justifies keying my car.

“They could tow me before they go to that extent.”

The young woman spoke to locals hoping to find witnesses but no one had seen the vandal.

‘IT’S DISRESPECTFUL’

Mollie says she has contacted the building management and also filed an incident report with police.

But unless the moment was captured on camera, she is not holding out too much hope that the culprit will be caught.

And she also thinks her third-party insurance is unlikely to cover the repair costs.

“I may have to wait a while [to get it fixed] as money is tight,” she said.

Mollie posted about the issue on a public Canberra notice board on Facebook, warning others about the incident and hoping maybe someone saw something.

“Keep an eye out on your own cars too guys, not the ideal thing to happen around Christmas time,” she wrote.

Mollie added: “I just wanted to make people aware that someone is out there doing this.

“It’s disrespectful and disgusting and I’m glad they did it to my car as it’s not an overly expensive car.”

It comes after one motorist was left fuming after claiming her neighbour keeps denting and scratching her car.

Meanwhile, another nightmare neighbour wages a parking war by blocking the road outside one man’s home with traffic cones and plant pots.
