Calls for Victor Osimhen to win special award as Chelsea transfer target performs SIX keep-ups before stunning assist

The Nigerian international scored 26 goals in 32 top-flight matches and has continued that red-hot form this term with a further eight strikes despite several controversies.

And he had supporters hailing his talents once again on Saturday after his latest piece of magic in the Italian top-flight.

Osimhen had put Napoli ahead against Cagliari in the 69th minute before the visitors levelled to make it 1-1 just moments later.

However, with 75 minutes on the clock, the forward showed why a host of European big boys are chasing his services with a brilliant piece of play to set up the winner.

He received the ball under pressure from a defender with his back to goal around 12 yards out.

The star flicked it up and performed a number of keep-ups with his knee before turned, getting the ball up throughout, and powering past three opposition players before firing the ball across goal for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to run in and hammer home and grab the winner.

Footage of the goal was shared by TNT Sports, and it did not take long for supporters to respond to Osimen’s exploits.

“We really need a Puskas for best assists,” replied one fan on social media to the clip.

A second said: “Victor Osimhen is a world class striker.”

A third wrote: “The ball  control before the assist is what is special.”

“Wow mad,” said another before a fellow fan said: “Puskas winning assist.”

Osimhen was linked with a host of Europe’s biggest clubs over the summer as both Manchester United and Chelsea chased his signature.

The Premier League duo and rivals Arsenal were then put on red alert after a controversial TikTok post left the player contemplating SUING his employers back in September.

But now it is Chelsea leading the race to try and sign him – although Napoli are attempting to secure their talisman to a new long-term deal.
