TONY FERGUSON faced fresh calls to retire from mixed martial arts after his UFC 296.
The former interim lightweight champion locked horns with the Brit prospect Paddy Pimblett on the main card of a stacked UFC 296 in Las Vegas early this morning.

Fan favourite entered the contest on the back of a SIX-FIGHT losing streak, a run which prompted many to urge the MMA legend to hang up his gloves.
And fans called for did just that after failing to stop the rot against ‘The Baddy’ – who beat him via unanimous decision in their Sin City showdown.
One UFC fan said: “I think it’s time for Tony Ferguson to retire.”

Despite his three-year-long skid, Ferguson was confident of doing a number on Pimblett.
During Friday’s pre-fight press conference, he said: “It’s going to go the way I want.
“I’ve already visualized it, I’ve trained my ass off, I don’t see this kid beating me,” Ferguson said.
“He’s worried about me blocking him on Instagram, sensitive little b*d.
“Wait until you get cut, see your own blood, you’re gonna run out of the cage back to mummy.”
