Curry sold in Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose & Ocado is urgently recalled as it could trigger life-threatening reactions

A FAMILY favourite curry sold in several major supermarkets has been recalled over fears it could trigger life-threatening reactions.

The Food Standards Agency say some packs of Charlie Bigham’s Thai Green Chicken Curry & Fragrant Rice may contain mustard not listed on the label.

It means the posh ready meal – sold in Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and Ocado – could pose a health risk for anyone with a mustard allergy.

The impacted curries are for two people, weigh 805g and have a use by date of December 21, 2023.

They have a green label sleeve and come in a wooden tray.

If you have bought the product – which sells for around £9.50 – and have an allergy to mustard, do not eat it.

It has now been issued with a point-of-sale notice which explain to customers why the product is being recalled.

Those who have bought the item have been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations.

For further information contact Charlie Bigham’s on 0208 453 9898 or email them at [email protected].
