However, Chelsea fans have been left furious after believing three of their former players were snubbed by Mourinho.
The 60-year-old picked his team during an appearance on John Obi Mikel’s Obi Wan podcast, with the full episode set to be released on Monday.
Eight players from Mourinho’s two spells at Stamford Bridge did make his team, though.
Petr Cech, John Terry, Ricardo Carvalho, William Gallas, Claude Makelele, Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba were all included alongside Hazard.
Meanwhile, Inter Milan legend Javier Zanetti took the right-back spot after winning the treble under Mourinho in 2010.
Ronaldo was joined by Mesut Ozil as the only two Real Madrid representatives in the side.
Carvalho also had the distinction of being the only member of Mourinho’s Champions League-winning Porto team to make the cut, having followed him to Chelsea from the Portuguese giants.
There were no places for any Manchester United or Tottenham players in the XI.

Fans were shocked by a trio of Chelsea exclusions, though, as Ashley Cole, Michael Essien and Mikel all missed out.
Reacting on social media, one fan wrote: “Gallas over Ashley Cole is mad.”
Another added: “Gallas over Ashley Cole??? How?”
A third supporter commented: “I disagree with the LB choice. I believe Ashley Cole should be that guy.”
One more also asked: “Where is Mikel and Essien?”
Mourinho won eight trophies across his two stints in the Chelsea dugout, including three Premier League titles.
He is now into his third season at Roma, having won the Europa Conference League with the Serie A side in 2022.
The experienced coach is still up to his usual antics too, having refused to speak Italian during a recent press conference.
Mourinho also made headlines on Sunday after using a ball boy to pass a note on to goalkeeper Rui Patricio during Roma’s heated draw with Fiorentina.
