Laura Woods request refused by Harry Kane live on air as Bayern Munich star says he doesn’t want to ’embarrass’ himself

HARRY KANE was hilariously put on the spot last night by Laura Woods – but he refused to “embarrass” himself live on air.

The England captain was back on these shores to help Bayern Munich secure a 1-0 Champions League win at Manchester United.

That result dumped the Red Devils out of Europe completely, with the striker creating the chance for Kingsley Coman to score the only goal of the game.

Kane, who left Tottenham for Bayern in a £104million move in August, joined much-loved TNT Sports host Woods and pundits Rio Ferdinand and Paul Scholes afterwards to discuss how he was settling in Germany.

After revealing that he had been struggling with the admin side of moving his family to a new country, Woods then had a request for the 30-year-old star.

The ex-talkSPORT presenter, who had been praised by fans for her latest bold choice of all-leather outfit, asked: ““How’s your German coming on?”

Kane replied gingerly with just an “Err” before Ferdinand interrupted and said: “Give me something. Just a little something.”

Kane responded: “Nah, I can’t. I’m saving that for the summer when we’re there for the Euros. But I’m doing a couple of lessons a week, so…”

Woods then joked: “Not well, then.”

To which Kane admitted: “Basically, yeah. I don’t want to embarrass myself!”

The icon, who has scored 22 goals for Bayern already, then went into depth about the difficulties of settling in Germany with his wife and four kids.

They had been living in hotel until they recently found a permanent residence to move in to after Christmas as he added: “It’s been difficult. It was my first move in my career.

“I probably didn’t realise how much goes into it. Not just with the new team, but the personal stuff with the family. I’ve got four kids.

“Luckily, we’ve found a house now and we’ll be looking to move in after the winter break.

“It’s nice to have that settled. I guess the only problem is if I stop scoring when they come, I might have to send them back!”
