Amazon reveals the biggest Alexa questions of 2023 – and people were constantly asking a common question about the King

AMAZON has revealed customers’ most-asked Alexa questions of the year – and folks were constantly asking one common question about King Charles.

The questions on everybody’s lips this year mostly revolve around King Charles, the internet famed ‘Barbenheimer’ blockbuster debut, Eurovision, Glastonbury, and of course, celebs.

In the year of the Coronation, questions related to the king ruled, according to Amazon, such as “Alexa, when is the King’s Coronation?” and “Alexa, how old is King Charles?”

But a more bizarre question was also blurted out in Alexa’s direction, like“Alexa, how many birthdays does the King have?”

It’s a long-standing tradition that the current monarch has two birthdays – a real one and an official one – with Charles’ being on 17 June and 14 November.

Meanwhile, Box Office hits Barbie and Oppenheimer starred amongst the top movie questions in 2023.

The so-called ‘Barbenheimer’ weekend – when both blockbuster movies hit cinemas – swept the UK, according to Amazon.

Queries such as, “Alexa, when did Barbie come out?”, “Alexa, what’s the Barbie movie about?” and “Alexa, how long is the Oppenheimer movie?” were spoken aloud countless times.

Likewise, this year’s Eurovision song contest, which aired in May, racked up enough questions and answers with Alexa that it, too, made the most-asked list.

Folks were curious about when it aired, who won the competition, and where it was hosted.

Then the coveted Glastonbury festival had Amazon customers quizzing Alexa on dates, headliners and, the age of Elton John.

And of course, the glitz and glamour of celebrities continues to pique a lot of curiosity.

Alexa users have been keen to learn more about a handful of favourite famous faces, with “Alexa, how tall is Lionel Messi?”, “Alexa, what is David Beckham’s net worth?”, and “Alexa, who is Jennifer Lopez married to?”  coming in as some of the top celebrity questions.

Net worths, heights, ages, spouses, recipes, sports scored and a surprisingly varied assortment of fart noise questions also made the most-asked list.

Behind all these questions were the UK’s anthems of this year; the background music to Brits’ lives in 2023.

Amazon’s data essentially acts as a Spotify Wrapped for the entire nation, with the top artist being – yet again – Ed Sheeran.

What is Alexa?

If you’ve never heard of Alexa, here’s what you need to know…

Alexa is an “intelligent” personal assistant built by Amazon.
You can find her on several different devices, including Amazon’s Echo speakers.
Alexa responds to voice commands, and can talk back to you.
She can perform thousands of different tasks, including telling you about the news or weather.
But she can do more complex things too, like ordering a pizza or arranging an Uber taxi pick-up.
To activate Alexa, you need to say “Alexa” to an Amazon Echo speaker.
Because she’s powered by artificial intelligence, Alexa is constantly getting smarter.
Alexa will also get more used to your voice, and better understand what you want her to do over time.
