A DRIVER has revealed a nifty hidden car feature that can help you never lose a parking permit again.
Misplacing one of the little paper tickets can land you in hot water and even see you slapped with fines.

Fortunately, this simple trick means you can rest assured that the slip will be right where you left it.
In a clip posted to TikTok, the motorist showed a pair of small slots on her car’s dashboard where you can put your ticket.
Just locate the openings just about in line with the gear stick on the central console.
Slide the paper in halfway and when it comes time to feed it back into the machine to be let out of the car park, it’s right at hand.
The driver said: “I can’t believe it.
“Like, what?
“Just pull up to the machine, take it out [put it in], it’s so cool.”
The helpful extra could be a real saver too, as fines for parking in private car parks without a ticket can exceed £130.
And social media commenters were similarly wowed by the neat tip.
One wrote: “No way this is actually crazy. I never knew that.”
Another added: “Well I never.”
However, not everyone is able to take advantage of the feature.
The driver in the video was in a Ford Fiesta and it is not clear whether any other models include the helpful slots.
Indeed, one comment suggested it was only for the basic trim version of the Fiesta, with higher-end variants having the buttons for the ignition and heated seats in place of the makeshift ticket holders.
