I am excited about my upcoming endeavours — including my fragrance line — and look forward to sharing more when I can.”

Is Amanda Bynes under a conservatorship?
Bynes is no longer under the legal limitations of a conservatorship. The All That alum was first placed under a temporary conservatorship in August 2013 after a string of mental health and substance abuse issues.
In 2014, Bynes displayed erratic behaviour on Twitter, posting a series of tweets accusing her father of abuse; she then walked back the comments, saying she had a microchip in her brain, which caused her to tweet the false claims.
Shortly after, Bynes was admitted to an involuntary emergency psychiatric hold at a California facility. During that time, Bynes had tweeted that she was diagnosed “bipolar and manic depressive,” though her attorney declined to comment on any medical issues and whether Bynes was ever diagnosed as bipolar, citing client-attorney privilege.
At the time, Bynes’ drug use made her unable to make coherent decisions and her mother, Lynn Organ, was granted the right to become her conservator.
In August 2018, paperwork was filed to continue the conservatorship until August 2020.

In February 2020, Bynes explained the situation to her Instagram followers asking for their support, claiming she no longer felt like she needed a conservator.
According to court documents obtained by multiple outlets in September 2021, a judge decided Bynes should remain under the protection of the court for at least another two years. Her mother Lynn Organ submitted a status report in July, and after reviewing the filing, a judge decided to extend Bynes’ conservatorship until March 8, 2023.
However, in February 2022, Bynes filed to end her conservatorship. Her lawyer, David Esquibias, claimed the actress’s conservatorship was “not extended” to 2023, explaining that it is “open day to day” and will end when it is “no longer convenient for Amanda.”
Esquibias told People, “Amanda wishes to terminate her conservatorship. She believes her condition is improved and protection of the court is no longer necessary.”
On Tuesday, March 22 2020, Bynes’ conservatorship was terminated — meaning she will now has control over her finances and is able to choose where she wants to live, how she wants to conduct her life and will have oversight over all day-to-day responsibilities.
