Car expert reveals incredible secret feature that saves the day when your fuel cap gets stuck

AN ONLINE car expert has revealed an incredible hack to open a stuck fuel cap – and it works on almost all models.

The TikTok star, who goes by the name of Dongcheshijie on social media, released a video of the life-saving trick.

A car expert has revealed an incredible hack to open a stuck fuel cap

A secret metal pull ring inside the car’s trunk can help you save the day

It works on almost all the cars

The video starts with a man trying to open the fuel cap of his car – a Hyundai Santa Fe – with a screwdriver.

The car guru then arrives and shows him a trick to pop out the fuel lid if it is stuck without damaging the car’s body.

Dongcheshijie first warns people not to use sharp objects like screwdrivers or scissors – it could break the fuel cap lock which might cost a lot more to get fixed.

Instead, she teaches a brilliant way to fix the stuck cap by pulling a secret hack.

She goes to the back of the car, opens the trunk and shows a hidden cap with a fuel sign on it at the side of the gas cap.

Next, she opens the cap and shows a metal pull ring inside of the cap.

The pull ring is attached to the fuel cap’s lock.

And when pulled from the inside gently, it can force open the fuel cap – a brilliant hack to save your day without scratching your car’s paint or destroying expensive parts.

In a different video, Dongcheshijie teaches the same hack, but this time it is a different car – an Audi.

She asks the troubled driver who jammed his car’s fuel cap to open the boot and pull the floor lid up.

Under the floor lid and beside the spare wheel, she shows a red-coloured pull ring that can be used to open the car’s fuel lid.

Another brilliant hack shows the trick that can banish misty car windows for good.

Experts behind the popular product WD-40 have shared how the trusty item helps fight the issue of condensation build-up with minimal effort.

Just a drop of the popular £6 liquid can make sure you’ll never have to wipe down your windows again.

The tip comes as experts recommended tackling condensation and de-fogging windscreens with a product costing just 14p per packet.

An alternative trick taking just 20 seconds was also shared.

Another mum has explained on TikTok what she dubs her lazy driver parking hack for icy mornings.

And drivers have been warned they could face £10,000 bills this winter even if they’re not breaking any rules – while warnings were issued over cold weather mistakes which risk also proving costly.

The expert even showed the hack on a different car
