Newcastle and Everton in huge 13-man row with Jordan Pickford led away and Joelinton held back in ugly scenes

NEWCASTLE and Everton players had to be separated after a furious post-match bust-up.

The Toffees had won the game 3-0 to lift themselves out of the relegation zones for the first time since their point deduction.

At full-time, however, Jordan Pickford appeared to get into an argument with Bruno Guimaraes.

Players from both sides then got involved in the middle of the pitch with as many as 13 men embroiled in the row.

The Everton goalkeeper was taken away by his team-mates.

He could have angered Newcastle’s stars with his wild knee-siding celebration.

Joelinton refused to let the argument lie as he also had to be dragged away by Newcastle’s coaching staff.

Pickford on the other hand was removed by his team-mates.

Fans spotted the moment and took to social media to comment.

One said: “Dunno what Pickford said, but Joelinton was not happy!”

A second posted: “Jordan Pickford he’s taking the micky.”

A third joked: “All started with Pickford’s Sunderland connections.”

A fourth added: “Pickford must be the worst person to lose to the man is an absolute wind up merchant.”

Sean Dyche‘s sides ran out 3-0 victors thanks to goals from Dwight McNeil, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Beto.

McNeil hailed the win as he spoke to Amazon Prime after the game: “Massive result – massive result at home.

“Back-to-back wins and out of the bottom three, clean sheet at home and now we’ve just got to keep going because we’ve got a massive game at home on Sunday.

“It’s brilliant to play under, you get goosebumps.

“The fans are amazing, they’ve been through some tough times but they’ve been brilliant, stuck with us, we really appreciate it and want to give back to them.”
