Both teams are hoping to reignite their respective campaigns with a much-needed victory after stuttering seasons so far.
United slipped to a 1-0 defeat away to Newcastle on Saturday in a game that heaped even more pressure on boss Erik ten Hag.
Both Marcus Rashford, who was criticised for his body language throughout that match, and Anthony Martial, who was spotted rowing with his manager, have come under-fire since Saturday’s latest setback.
However, Chelsea chief Pochettino is still concerned about one of them hurting his team along with the pace of Alejandro Garnacho.
Speaking ahead of the trip to United, he said: “They have very good players.
“They have pace with their offensive players and so we cannot allow them to transition.
“We need to be careful in the way we finish and lose the ball, I think we need to be clever because they have pace through Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho who can transition really fast.
“We need to try to dominate and put pressure by playing in their half and I think that will be the challenge for us.”

Pochettino is also desperate to pick up the points to help his tenth-placed team’s push for a top four finish.
He was fuming after their own 4-1 mauling away to Newcastle but since then his men have bounced back.
They beat Brighton 3-2 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday and now he is hoping to move within two points of the Red Devils.
