A MOTORING expert has warned drivers they should stop immediately if they see this little-known warning light.
Experts at the vehicle financing company Moneybarn say if certain lights flash up on your dashboard it could make driving in the colder winter months particularly dangerous.

A spokesperson for the company warned that lights alerting the driver to issues with their car anti-lock brakes or brake fluid should never go ignored.
They said: “If either your anti-lock brake system (ABS) or brake fluid warning lights appear, it means there’s a fault with your brake pads or sensors, which could cause your vehicle’s brakes to fail.
“Fully working brakes are crucial for vehicle safety, so don’t mess around when it comes to a potential fault.”
Moneybarn also warned motorists they should get the engine warning light – or the ECU light – checked as soon as possible.
This light, which looks like a side-view of a car engine, can indicate a variety of possible issues with the vehicle, including faults with the emissions.
If there is an amber or yellow light this indicates there is a minor fault while a flashing yellow or sold red ECU light suggests there is a serious issue and drivers are advised to pull over as soon as it is safe to do so.
The Moneybarn experts also said drivers need to pull over and seek a mechanic if the airbag warning light, which shows an inflated bag in front of a passenger, appears on the dashboard.
They said: “As soon as you see the light turn on, either pull over safely or drive cautiously to a garage if there’s one nearby.
“If you’re involved in a crash while the airbag warning light is on, your airbags won’t deploy for you or your passenger, which could prove fatal, so it’s not recommended for you to drive while it’s on.”
Lastly, Moneybarn also highlighted the issue of checking your car when the battery warning light is displayed for any length of time.
They said: “If the battery warning light appears when you turn on your vehicle and stays on while the engine is running, it means there’s a problem with the charging system.
“This could be down to issues like a loose cable or cooler temperatures slowing the chemical process in a battery, compromising its ability to hold charge.
“It could mean you eventually run out of power and come to a halt while driving.”
