A MAN has sparked debate online after he was accused of encroaching on another passenger’s space with some serious manspreading.
Space can be precious in a plane cabin, particularly in economy class, forcing some people to behave pretty selfishly in order to get comfortable.

One such person was filmed by another passenger spreading his legs right across the aisle and into the space in front of the seat opposite him.
That seat belonged to Tiktoker Claire (@claireandpeter), who filmed the man and shared the footage to her channel for her followers to see.
She captioned her video: “This man took manspreading to another level on my flight”.
Since then it has been seen more than three million times, kicking off a debate about whether or not it’s acceptable for people to spread out quite so much.
Plenty of people were appalled by the man’s behaviour, suggesting Claire take action against him.
One wrote: “You gotta step on his foot. This is the final straw.”
A flight attendant joined the debate, adding: “As a flight attendant I’d be announcing a reminder to keep the aisle clear.”
However, there were those who had their sympathies with the man.
One said: “6ft4 man here, can confirm this needs to happen on flights.”
Another commented: “Dude is an absolute manspreading champion, we all should look up to him.”
Of those who left comments, the flight attendant seems to be the one talking the most sense.
While the aisle needs to be kept clear at all times for safety reasons, encroaching into other people’s space is also not acceptable, according to Sun Online Travel’s resident cabin crew member.
They advise letting the flight attendants know if someone’s spreading into your seating area.
They said: “You’re entitled to the seat you’re sitting in, which includes the space between your seat and the seat in front of you.
“That’s your area and if someone is spreading out into your space, you’ve got every right to tell them to move.
“If they still refuse to do it, or if you don’t want the confrontation, then let your flight crew know.
“We’ll be more than happy to either make them move or, if we have space, we can try and put you in a better seat where you’ll be more comfortable.”
Meanwhile, these three annoying plane behaviours will make everyone on board hate you.
And this is the golden rule you should follow to avoid arguments with other passengers.
