World’s fastest motorbike quicker than an F1 car cost me less than a VOLVO… dad offered me a Ferrari to stop riding it

A PETROLHEAD who claims to own the world’s fastest motorbike says his terrified father offered to buy him a Ferrari in a bid to stop him riding.

Anthony El Doueihy owns the Kawasaki H2 – a beast of a bike said to be capable of reaching break-neck paces of up to 249mph – and he revealed what it’s like to whizz through the air at blistering speeds.

Although the thrill-seeker suffered a huge blow to his bank account when he brought the “supercharged” motor, he said it was worth it.

The 31-year-old told The Sun: “I felt like I was the king of the road and that no one can beat me”.

Anthony bought the motor for £28,000 but made modifications to increase its power – meaning he had to cough up a further £12,000 taking the total cost to an eye-watering £40,000.

The Lebanese daredevil previously owned a 636cc bike that hit speeds of 179mph – but it wasn’t enough to satisfy his need for speed and he decided to upgrade.

Anthony first clapped eyes on the menacing H2 in a motorshow in 2014 and as soon as he saw it, his mind was made up.

But the petrolhead had to wait for the bike to be available to buy as the model hadn’t even been released at that point.

Although test drives aren’t usually permitted, a special exception was made for Anthony.

He said: “Once I test drove it, I couldn’t leave it, its captivating looks won me over.”

Although the machine is one of the fastest bikes in the world – it is also one of the most dangerous.

With great speed comes great risk and taking a fall at this kind of tempo would almost certainly result in death.

But Anthony doesn’t fear the ride itself – only “other variables” like difficult roads or traffic.

The fastest he has ever gone is 234mph – the same speed as the record race speed of a Formula One car – and it’s capable of more.

Achieving this incredible speed involved hurtling hell for leather down the freeway in the dead of night.

Anthony explained that measures were taken to lessen the danger as much as possible.

The road also had to be closed – meaning the perilous feat needed to be attempted at 4am under cover of darkness.

“The sensation was indescribable—it’s not a feeling of freedom but freedom itself where nothing else matters,” he told The Sun.

“The thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death.

“Despite the risks, I embrace them, finding solace in the freedom it [riding] brings.

He added: “Initially, the speed was daunting, but now it’s like entering a tunnel of vision, shedding problems with every extra mile per hour.”

Although Anthony is thrilled with his pricey purchase his father “was always against it”.

Anthony’s even dad offered to buy him a Ferrari instead in a bid to stop him riding the bike.

But he rejected his dad’s proposal and instead bought the bike for himself.

The monster motor has a four-cylinder engine and is one of the fastest production motorcycles to ever be made.

The bike can be bought by anyone – but a high skill level is required to survive the ride, Anthony said.

“It’s sometimes hard to calculate the distance you are travelling, like you see a car far away and one second later you passed it,” he said.

The manufacturer describes the model as: “A machine apart, the Kawasaki Ninja H2 is the embodiment of Kawasaki’s passion for performance, for the search for technical excellence and desire to achieve road riding perfection.

“Equipped with a Supercharger designed and constructed entirely in-house, the Ninja H2 will delight connoisseurs with a visual feast of craftsmanship details plus a new standard of road bike acceleration.”

This isn’t the only daring hobby Anton takes part in, he is also a keen skydiver, paraglider and rescue diver.

He even likes to takes risks when it comes to his pets and he previously had a pet tiger called Kenzo.

He trusted the animal so much they would take naps together and and Anton considered him his “baby”.

He said: “I trusted kenzo with my life because he trusted me with his. I know he’s an animal, but for me he’s just a baby.”

Anthony later sent Kenzo to a sanctuary as he grew too big to keep at home and would be happier with more space – but he still visits him when he has time.
