A DRIVER of a £100k Corvette supercar lost control during an illegal street race and ended up crashing.
Video of the aftermath was uploaded to YouTube by @onscenetv and has had 40,000 views.
The footage shows a C7 Chevrolet Stingray that was destroyed after a high-speed crash in California.
Witnesses claim that the accident happened because the car was racing another vehicle.
Paramedics arrived quickly at the scene and the driver was rushed to a nearby hospital.
Unfortunately, the accident damaged two other vehicles nearby at the time.
Footage of the aftermath of the crash shows that very little of the Corvette remained intact.
The car’s engine was thrown completely clear and is seen lying in the road a long way from where the rest of the car ended up.
People were quick to comment on the video – most users were shocked because the driver did not suffer any major injuries.
One said: “I am amazed that the driver did not suffer grievous injuries!”
Another said:” How in the world did he walk away from that!”
Other users blame the driver for the accident.
One said: “Looks like someone driving beyond their skill level. At least the cf Targa top is still in good shape.”
Another said: “He should have read the disclaimer on page 1 of the owner’s manual: “Caution, brains not included.”
