CM Punk linked with big Roman Reigns title clash after shock WWE return… but may face huge rival at WrestleMania 40

CM PUNK looks set to face both Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins after his shock WWE return.

Punk took the world of professional wrestling by storm on Saturday as he returned to the sport’s biggest promotion at Survivor Series.

According to Sports Illustrated, the wrestling giants already have huge plans for The Best in the World.

WWE are looking to book the 45-year-old in a title feud with both Reigns and Rollins.

And it seems like the latter is first in line for the American grappler, who returned to Vince McMahon‘s promotion after nine years of animosity.

Rollins is currently the World Heavyweight Champion and rumours suggest he will defend his title against Punk at WrestleMania 40.

In fact, the two superstars could face off in the main event of Night One on April 6 at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

That would mark CM Punk‘s first ever main event at WrestleMania, which is the one high honour that has eluded his illustrious career.

There is no set date for a feud with Reigns, which could follow, as much will then depend on who holds the company’s two world titles.

The Tribal Chief is currently the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

Therefore, CM Punk could only face Reigns if he fails to dethrone Rollins when they lock horns.

However, if the six-time world champion beats The Visionary and Reigns loses his title then he could challenge the ex-AEW superstar later down the line.

Rollins strongly hinted at an imminent feud with the ex-WWE Champion when he was seen lashing out at him during his return at Survivor Series.

The five-time world champion was seen flipping CM Punk off and dropping F bombs as referees and commentators tried to restrain him.

The WWE Grand Slam Champion has previously launched some scathing criticism towards Punk, whom he described as a “cancer” following his troubles at AEW.
