But Marks & Spencer has gone the whole hog with a pair of British 12-inch sausages encased with streaky bacon, costing £7.50.
We cooked them for 30 minutes — and Sun journalist Isaac Crowson was more than happy to pig out.
Isaac, 29, who donned a festive jumper and hat, said:

“I had them with mustard and thick crusty bread with butter.”
The average length of a traditional pig in a blanket is 1in.
More than 128 million traditional pigs in blankets — which first appeared in a 1957 cookbook — are eaten on Christmas Day alone.
And April 24 is National Pigs in Blankets Day for the sausage based delights.
