ALDI shoppers have been going wild for a “dreamy” £3 pigs in blankets quiche – but not everyone is a fan.
The discount supermarket has unveiled its Christmas food menu and one item in particular has gained the attention of shoppers.
Aldi’s pigs in blankets quiche has left shoppers divided
Aldi’s £2.99 specially selected pigs in blankets inspired quiche has hit the shelves for the festive season.
It can be served hot and cold, making it the perfect addition to any Christmas party spread.
The quiche was shared on the Newfoodsuk Facebook page and attracted more than 1,000 like and 900 comments.
Hundreds of fans rushed to write about how delicious they thought the treat looked.
One social media user said: “This is sooooo good!! I’m stocking up this year.”
Another added: “I’ll be trying this. Sounds delicious.”
And a third wrote: “What a dream.”
But not all shoppers were convinced by the Christmas creation.
“Just tried this and to my taste buds it’s nothing like pigs in blankets. More like stuffing to me,” said one Facebook user.
A second wrote: “Tried it… not as nice as original normal quiche Lorraine.”
And a third simply said: “Yuck.”
From the classic roast turkey to quirky but tasty Christmas sides, Aldi has everything to offer this festive season.
These include smaller dishes like the Specially Selected mini Yorkshire puddings and mini beef wellingtons, which are available from December 8 and cost just £3.99.
Meanwhile, the pigs in blanket pizza is back on the menu and will cost £4.49 when it hits the shelves on December 8.
This year, Aldi has revealed three new pre-mixed premium cocktails for just £9.99 each – a salted caramel espresso martini cocktail, chili and lime margarita and a passionfruit and pineapple martini.
We have put together a guide to everything Aldi has available on its Christmas menu this year.
