Although he is yet to find a new club, the ex-Chelsea boss has been heavily linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League.

Saad Al Lazeez, vice-chairman of the Saudi Pro League, recently admitted that officials are interested in tempting him over to the Middle East.

And this week Mourinho himself admitted that he would like to make the move.

He told Rai1: “I think one day I will join Saudi Pro League. I think I will go and coach there, yes.

“But that day won’t be tomorrow or after tomorrow…”

Mourinho has also been linked with a sensational return to Real Madrid, but he believes that club president Florentino Perez would be wrong to let current manager Carlo Ancelotti leave.

He added: “Re-joining Real Madrid to replace Ancelotti? Florentino is super smart. He already has a super manager, why thinking of another?

“I’m Madridista and I hope Ancelotti will stay there. He’s the perfect coach for Real Madrid.”
