Nicole Kidman confirms Big Little Lies season three is coming

Our very own Nicole Kidman has some very exciting news for fans of her show Big Little Lies it’s coming back.

The Aussie actress let the news slip while speaking onstage at a golf event in the US.

“I loved Big Little Lies because it sort of came along at a time in my life when I had my children and I was thinking I was going to retire,” she said in a clip shared to Instagram by Deux Moi

“And then this situation came along, where Reese Witherspoon and I were able to produce that show and create that show. And then all of you watched it and made it a massive success.”

She then quickly dropped the bombshell: “And we will be bringing you a third one, just FYI.”

The third season has been a long time coming, with season two ending four years ago, in 2019.

Kidman has long been teasing the return of the fan-favourite show.

Three years ago she told Marie Clare Australia that Australian writer Liane Moriarty, whose book the show is based on, had a “really good idea for it”.

“Watch this space!” she said.

She also added all the other actresses are game to return

“We all just want to work together again. I texted Zoë [Saldana] and Laura [Dern], and they’re in,” Kidman claimed.

Big Little Lies tells the tale of five women, played by Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern, and Zoë Kravitz, who become embroiled in a murder investigation centering on the school their children attend in upmarket Monterey, California.
