Everything you need to know about the ARIA Awards 2023

It’s officially time for Australian music’s night of nights. Yes, the ARIA Awards are here!

The star-studded event has a stacked lineup of performers, presenters and hosts, and Aussies at home will be able to catch all the action live from 5pm on Stan.

The nominations include a raft of Aussie and international talent, including Australia’s sweetheart Kylie Minogue in the running to win her first ARIA in 21 years with a total of four nominations.

The evening will also see iconic band Jet inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame, as well as a performance to honour 50 Years of Hip Hop in Australia featuring some of the genres biggest homegrown talent.

The red carpet action is kicking off at 1.30pm, with the awards ceremony starting at 5pm.

The 2023 ARIA awards are going to be streaming live on Stan from 5pm, followed by a free-to-air broadcast on the 9Network from 7.30pm AEDT.

Who is hosting the 2023 ARIA Awards?

The 2023 ARIA awards will be hosted by Today presenter Brooke Boney alongside comedian and radio host Tommy Little.

The red carpet events will be hosted by Christian Wilkins and Bridget Hustwaite, and Aussies can expect to see some familiar faces on stage to hand present awards throughout the night. 

Dolly Parton, Troye Sivan, Jessica Mauboy, Joel Corry, Kate Ceberano, Dylan Alcott, and Cub Sport are all among those who will be handing out gongs across 29 categories throughout the evening. 

Who is performing at the 2023 ARIA Awards?

The 2023 ARIAs have got a spectacular lineup of Aussie stars set to perform their hits. 

Those on the lineup include G Flip (who has six nominations), Budjerah (five nominations), DMA’S (five nominations), Brad Cox (three nominations), Peach PRC (three nominations), Jessica Mauboy (one nomination), Meg Mac (one nomination) and Fanny Lumsden (one nomination).

Aussie Band Jet will also be closing out the show with a medley of their biggest hits, as well as a performance honouring 50 Years of Hip Hop in Australia featuring Bliss n Eso, Barkaa, and Dj Krissy among other homegrown talent. 

Who is nominated for an ARIA in 2023?

This year’s award nominees include a stellar lineup of both Aussie and international talent.

Leading the charge is Ghanaian-Australian singer Genesis Owusu with a whopping seven nominations, with G Flip, Troy Sivan and Dom Dolla all following closely behind with six nominations each.

Australia’s pop princess Kylie Minoque is also in with a chance, receiving four total nominations.

The last time Minogue was nominated for an ARIA was in 2021 with her last win dating all the way back to 2002.

This year, her hit song Padam Padam is up for Best Pop Release alongside Troye Sivan, Peach PRC, Amy Shark, and Budjerah. 

Other Aussie names in the running to receive an award or two include Amy Shark, Cub Sport, Dan Sultan, Matt Corby and more.

A 2023 ARIA Awards special presentation will air 7.30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
