The app‘s latest update can notify users when to take extra precaution on roads with tricky characteristics or a reputation for traffic accidents.
Waze already allows users to report road incidents or crashes on the app, which is there to help other motorists avoid disrupted roads that could cause delays.
The app claims users around the world report accidents every two seconds using this tool – with their aim now to help road-users know in advance when they’re approaching a road that has a history of crashes.
There is even a limit to the number of warnings drivers see, while the app’s AI tech will halt showing information on roads users regularly navigate.
Waze say they to help drivers “make smart decisions on the road” by continuing to bring more safety features to user’s drives.
This comes after Ford owners were made aware of a little-known button that can help them avoid hefty fines and even deadly accidents.
The Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), which keeps track of your position in the lane, uses a front-facing camera and an array of sensors to create an accurate picture of where your car is on the road.
If you start to drift out of your lane it will trigger three sharp vibrations of the steering wheel and can even help steer you back into the centre.
The futuristic feature can help drivers avoid breaking road laws and stay safe.
Meanwhile, a classic Ferrari that has had just one cautious owner in the last 38 years has sold for a record fee at auction.
