Man Utd handed ANOTHER injury blow as Christian Eriksen forced off with knee problem

MANCHESTER UNITED’S injury woe continued as Christian Eriksen limped off against Luton.

Mason Mount replaced the midfielder after just 40 minutes of Saturday’s Premier League clash.

Eriksen clutched his left knee in pain after a collision.

And following treatment he hobbled straight down the tunnel.

United have been reeling this season with a growing crock list.

Casemiro, Lisandro Martinez, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia and Jonny Evans are amongst the casualties.

And Eriksen’s replacement, Mount, is only just returning himself following an early-season injury.

But the pressure on boss Erik ten Hag was eased a little by recalled Victor Lindelof firing the Red Devils in front at home to lowly Luton.

The Sweden centre-back netted his first goal for three years after surprisingly stepping in for injured Evans ahead of Raphael Varane.

Summer signing Rasmus Hojlund also went off late on – apparently injured.

The £72million striker received rousing applause from the Old Trafford crowd, with Anthony Martial coming on.

Hojlund arrived in the summer with a back problem but it did not appear that was the issue this time.
