Watch Roy Keane become Adidas model for the day as Ireland icon gets decked out in stylish gear

WHILE being a model certainly isn’t his job, Roy Keane cut a dashing figure while showcasing Adidas’ new range.

Flanked by his dog Jet, the former midfield hardman reflects on how much he misses the euphoric highs of winning titles with Manchester United.

AdidasIt’s literally a case of seeing him in a brand new light amid the glossy backdrop of the advert[/caption]

With a wistful soundtrack playing in the background, he admits: “I played to win from when I was eight or nine years of age.

“You were literally on the biggest roller coaster of your life.

“The highs are extreme and the lows…my goodness. But sometimes you have to lose to win.

“The biggest challenge for any sportsperson is actually when your career finishes.

“You almost know you’re never going to reach those highs again but you have to accept that.

“I’ll never get that buzz from anything else in my life.

“Being in the dressing room winning stuff with good teammates and good players…ohhh, honestly, it really is amazing.”

However, the ad does finish on an upbeat note after that opening where he’s hung up on past glories.

He goes on to add: “Life’s been pretty good to me in terms of my career and my family.

“I actually have a lot of contentment in my life.

“That can go sometimes but generally speaking, I am pretty contented yeah.”

HOME TEMPTATIONS?

The seven-time Premier League winner has seemed to accept that he’ll likely never manage again.

Over the past few years he’s grown more comfortable with becoming one of the faces of Sky Sports’ punditry team.

Perhaps the only realistic offer that could tempt him out of the Super Sunday studio would be if the FAI were to decide to go with the Hollywood option when selecting Stephen Kenny’s replacement.
