TOP Brazilian footballer Neymar has paid tribute to a dear pal, influencer Luana Andrade, who died during a liposuction surgery.
The 29-year-old suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and passed away on Tuesday, Brazilian hospital Sao Luiz confirmed.

A spokesperson for the hospital explained: “The surgery was interrupted and the patient underwent tests that revealed massive thrombosis.
“She was transferred to the ICU where she underwent medication and hemodynamic treatment.”
Heartbroken fans from across the world, and Luana’s shattered loved ones, took to social media to share their deep sadness and shock.
Among those in a state of disbelief was footballing superstar Neymar, who plays as a forward for Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal and the Brazil national team.
He posted a sombre message over a black screen to his Instagram story which read: “Sad day with two very bad news. First it was the attack that bru’s [Bruna Biancardi’s] parents suffered, but thank God everyone is fine!
“Secondly, the death of a friend. My condolences to the whole family, may God receive Luana with open arms.”
Neymar’s girlfriend and the mother of his child, model Bruna Biancardi, was left terrified after a gang broke into her family home in the early hours of Tuesday, gagged her parents, and made off with their luxury belongings.
Fans flocked to the comment section beneath Luana’s most recent Instagram photo, eerily posted just one day ago.
In the picture, she posed wearing a sports bra, leggings, and sneakers while taking selfies in the mirror of her “favourite” gym.
One fan commented: “Unbelievable that a woman with such a beautiful body lost her life because of a cosmetic procedure, image disorder is a very serious thing.”
Someone else said: “I’m amazed that a doctor agreed to do this procedure unnecessarily; he could have directed the patient to a psychologist, because it’s clear that she had an identity crisis.”
Surfer Gabriel Medina condemned the cosmetic procedure his friend underwent: “Today I lost a friend due to ‘simple’ aesthetic procedures.
“The world is surreal, people… especially you women.
“This standard of ‘perfect’ bodies that are impossible to achieve displayed on Instagram and in the media needs to end urgently.
“Why risk your life for nothing? Can not understand. We are young, we have several other ways of feeling good, healthy and beautiful.
“If I can give some advice it would be that we need to get back to showing more reality in everything.
“This fake world will end up killing more and more young people.”
Luana boasted close to half a million Instagram followers and worked as a stage assistant on the TV show Domingo Legal.
She previously took part in reality TV show Power Couple Brasil, alongside her businessman boyfriend João Hadad.
In a heartfelt post shared to social media, João wrote: “It was two years by your side and I have no words to express how happy I was… We built a beautiful story and lived our dreams intensely.
“In addition to being a girlfriend, you are and will always be a partner beyond life, my love.”
He said Luana was a person of great character, whose kindness and empathy left eternal marks on everyone who had the honour of meeting her.
