16 day warning for millions of Tesco shoppers who risk missing out on share of £16m worth of Clubcard points

MILLIONS of Tesco shoppers have been given 16 day warning as they risk missing out on share of £16m worth of Clubcard points.

The giant supermarket has urged customers to rush and redeem the Clubcard points or they risk losing them.

The points – which were first launched in November 2021 – have to be claimed within two years.

Tesco customers now have 16 days left to use theirs in-store and online to save cash on shops.

If you decide to use your vouchers for your Tesco shop, every 150 points can be exchanged to the value of £1.50.

The vouchers can also be used to cut the cost of car fuel and can even be doubled in value to spend at over 100 reward partners including Pizza Express and Zizzi.

You can also swap vouchers for money off your Tesco mobile bill.

Emma Botton, Tesco Group customer director, said: “We want to help customers’ household budgets stretch further right now and Clubcard is the best way to get great value with Tesco.

“With more than £16m worth of Clubcard vouchers due to expire at the end of November, we’re reminding customers to spend them now – or even use them to get ahead with some early Christmas shopping.”

You can find out how many Clubcard points you have in the app. Just head to your account and select statements.

How does the Tesco Clubcard scheme work?

Tesco’s Clubcard scheme allows shoppers to earn points as they shop, these points can then be turned into vouchers for money off food or other reward partner schemes.

Each time you spend £1 in-store and online, you get one point when you scan your card or app.

Drivers using Clubcards now get one point for every two litres spent on fuel.

One point equals 1p, so 150 points gets you £1.50, for example.

You’ll need a minimum of 150 points to request a voucher.

These vouchers can either be worth the face value to spend in-store at Tesco, or you can double their worth to spend at reward partners, including restaurants, and on days out.

Loyalty card holders can also get cheaper prices on over 8,000 items thanks to Clubcard Prices.

These Clubcard prices save the average member £351 on their annual shop, according to Tesco.
