Florence Pugh is a Jill of all trades. The actor, at-home chef, and fashion statement-maker just introduced fans to another title: secret contortionist. In a video for Vanity Fair‘s annual Hollywood issue, Pugh demonstrates her so-called “party trick,” which involves twisting her limbs every which way as she moves a stick behind her head and between her legs without letting go the whole time. “It doesn’t really have a name,” she says of the maneuver, adding, “but it’s if you’ve got a broom and you’re bored, have some fun.”
After slipping into a leotard and leg warmers, she shows off the hidden talent without a hitch and offers step-by-step directions for how to execute the move at home. (Our backs are sore just watching her flexibility in action.) “It’s a good party trick afterwards to be like, ‘Give it a go,’ because then you just see people nearly break their shoulders and stuff,” she jokes.
Although this is the first time Pugh has flaunted her contortionist skills, we’re hardly surprised by the revelation. Do you remember all those badass high kicks she did for fight scenes in Marvel’s “Black Widow”? Or her wrestling moves in the 2019 film “Wrestling With My Family”? She’s also set to lead Marvel’s “Thunderbolts” in 2024, so this certainly isn’t the last we’ll see of Pugh’s physical prowess.
