PRINCE Harry has slammed the Royal “hierarchy” – while a tearful Meghan Markle sobbed “they’re never going to protect you” in a new Netflix trailer released today.
In haunting echoes of his mother’s tragic death, the Duke of Sussex tells the camera “I didn’t want history to repeat itself” in the explosive promo.

The trailer, which has been released just days before the bombshell doc is unleashed on Thursday, shows a string of photographs of the couple as they describe their life.
And in one touching moment, Meghan can be seen wiping away tears with her husband sitting beside her.
The Netflix documentary is sure to cause shockwaves across the globe and the Royal Family – with the trailer hinting the couple have taken aim at The Firm.
Prince Harry can be heard saying: “It’s really hard looking back on it and thinking ‘what on earth happened?’.
He then adds: “There’s a hierarchy of the family.”
The duke goes on to say: “The pain and suffering of women marrying into this institution, it’s a feeding frenzy.”
He continues: “I was terrfified, I didn’t want history repeating itself.”
Meghan can also be heard saying: “I realised they’ll never protect you.”
Much like the first trailer the clip shows snippets of the couple’s life, with them and others speaking over the videos and photos.
The pair also made a chilling reference to Princess Diana in the clip.
Meanwhile, Netflix today confirmed the day the documentary will hit screens.
Its Twitter caption read: “Harry & Meghan. A Netflix Global Event.
“Volume I: December 8. Volume II: December 15.”
It comes just days after the streaming giant released a 59-second glimpse into what the docuseries will include.
The documentary’s bio has also today been updated to say: “In an unprecedented and in-depth documentary series, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex share the other side of their high-profile love story.
The pain and suffering of women marrying into this institution, it’s a feeding frenzy.
Prince Harry
“Across six episodes, the series explores the clandestine days of their early courtship and the challenges that led to them feeling forced to step back from their full-time roles in the institution.
“With commentary from friends and family, most of whom have never spoken publicly before about what they witnessed, and historians who discuss the state of the British Commonwealth today and the royal family’s relationship with the press, the series does more than illuminate one couple’s love story, it paints a picture of our world and how we treat each other.
“From the critically-acclaimed, two-time Academy Award-nominated and Emmy-winning director Liz Garbus, Harry & Meghan is a never-before-seen look at one of the most-discussed couples in history.”
Meanwhile, the first trailer revealed never before seen photos and videos of the pair – including Meghan crying, and she and Harry dancing.
It also seemed to offer a sneak peek inside Frogmore Cottage – which the couple called home before Megxit.
However, The Sun exclusively revealed yesterday that one of the photos included in the trailer – of them apparently being hounded by the press – was from a Harry Potter premiere years before they met.
The first part of the documentary, which is six episodes in length, will be hitting screens this Thursday.
It has already been slammed by Piers Morgan as “repulsive”, who also branded the trailer “hypocritical”.
